Spring Weekend 2012

This past weekend was Spring Weekend at Longwood! This is when bands come and play, organizations create booths to sell things and everyone and their brother come outside. This is also the time for Oozeball- volleyball in the muddy water. Although I did not participate, it sure looked like a lot of fun and I bought the t-shirt.  It was such a fun shirt and I figured why not? :) It was very entertaining to watch both guys and girls, athletes and not so much athletes all play in the mud and dive to get the ball! Groups of six people were on a team and played until they lost. So at the end of the day, there was a champion! It was a great way to have fun and get a workout at the same time!  It was fun to see what each organization decided to sell. Some sold drinks, bracelets, headbands, coozies ( I do not know if that is how you spell it!), others sold cups, pins and even sunglasses!
The selection of bands were good because there was something for everyone. I was most excited for two of the later concerts because it was Andy Grammer and Justin Moore! So that was exciting! For those of you who are not going to go to the links, "If Heaven Wasn't so Far Away" and "Bait a Hook" are both Justin Moore songs and "Keep Your Head Up" and "Fine by Me" are both Andy Grammer songs.
Here are some pictures of Spring Weekend!

These two pictures are of Oozeball! It is literally a pit filled with watery mud that goes about up to your knees. Besides the playing field there is no difference than in regular volleyball!

These are from the Justin Moore concert

There was a huge crowd, but we were able to get up to about the 5th row standing wise!
