Charley and his mouse

In my last post I showed a picture of Will holding a fake mouse for Charley. Well, this is what happened when we gave it to him.

Christmas Pictures

I love to take pictures.  What better time than when family is all together? Enjoy.

First set of pictures is our tree.  We all have lots of fun decorating the tree every year because we have so many ornaments.  This year, we only put a handful of our hundreds up on the tree.  Some have been given to us over the years, some came from our parent's childhood, some were made in preschool or growing up.  Each ornament tells a story.  In this first picture, you can see Santa's ornament.  Will made an ornament at church and decided to leave it out for Santa to see what he would do with it.  Christmas morning, it was on our tree.

Will was very observant when we all (all meaning myself and the siblings), came upstairs.  He found "Santa Proof".  If you look carefully you will see that the fireplace doors are open and that there is a footprint in the soot.

We have always started with the stockings. Always. This year was no different.

Happy girl.

This year as a family we decided to do something different.  We choose to put more thought into our gifts and attempt to have them all be homemade, or at least an aspect of them.  I think we did a great job!

Yes you can.

Here are some other pictures from our day!

Of course I had to include Gracie and Charley in some of the pictures!

After we do our family Christmas, we always go over to Granddaddy and Grandmama's house for lunch and fun!

Deliciousness.

Explaining the pins

Overall our Christmas season was full of fun, family and love.  Missed those who were unable to make it but the seven of us that were there enjoyed our family time!

Christmas Time is here!

Well..not really. Christmas has come and gone, but I wanted to share a few pictures and show what we did during the holiday season!

We always have a cookie decorating and caroling party!

We ALWAYS go and see the Legendary Santa. This has been a tradition in our house since I was a baby!  Each year we go and wait in line to see him and get our picture taken with him.  While waiting in line for an hour or two is not so wonderful, it is all worth it to see the magic of the room, how it is set up and to talk to the REAL Santa! :) We have pictures from every year we have ever gone! Here are some of the pictures that were taken that day.
Two things. First, isn't she beautiful?? Second, any digital imaging people out there know how to get the glare of the light on the tree off of her face?

We have many special church services throughout the Advent Season.  Each Sunday leading up to Christmas, a candle is lit.  There are four total and they each represent something. The final candle is lit on Christmas Eve, the Christ candle.  This year, my family had the opportunity to read during the service and to light the candles. Will was very excited that he was allowed to use the microphone!

A special tradition in my family that happens on Christmas Eve is that WagsOutside always reads "The Night Before Christmas".

Oh! We cannot forget about Santa!
